UJ Late applications are open for 2024

University of Johannesburg(UJ) Late applications are open for 2024. Prospective students can now submit their applications online until 29 February 2024.



UJ Late applications are open for 2024 for the following Faculties:

  • Faculty of Education
  • Faculty of Health Science
  • Faculty of Economics And Management Sciences
  • Faculty of Engineering

UJ available courses for 2024 late applications:

  • Postgraduate Diploma: Biotechnology
  • Postgraduate Diploma: Consumer Science Food and Nutrition
  • Master of Communication and Media (Course Based)
  • Master of Public Relations Communication Management (Course Based)
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Engineering Management (PDENGM)
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Clothing and Textile Technology (PDCLTT)
  • Bachelor of Engineering Technology Honours in Chemical Engineering (BHCME)
  • Bachelor of Engineering Technology Honours in Civil Engineering (BHENCV)
  • Bachelor of Engineering Technology Honours in Electrical Engineering – Course Based (BHETEE)
  • Bachelor of Engineering Technology Honours in Computer Engineering – Course Based (BHETCP)
  • Master of Engineering: Electrical Engineering – Smart Grid – Course Based (MGESGC)
  • Master of Engineering in Energy – Course Based (MGENRC)
  • Master of Engineering in Engineering Management – Course Based (MGENMC)

How to apply at UJ for 2024 late applications:

Applying at UJ for let applications is simple, all you'll need is your Exam number or ID Number to successfully apply.

Follow the Step by step guide on how to apply:

Step 1: visit the UJ website here:

Step 2: You have to submit either your UJ student number, Grade 12 examination number or ID number and click on submit.

Note: If you already have a UJ student number you will be requested to enter your iEnabler PIN and password. If you forgot your PIN and/or password you will be re-directed to the iEnabler page. Enter your UJ student number and click on the request a pin button. Your PIN will be sent to your email address. Click on the back button of the browser and re-enter your student number and PIN to proceed – alternatively you can contact the UJ Call Centre at 011 559 4555.

Step 3: Verify your personal details and click on confirm.

Step 4: New/Previous application confirmation:

a) If you have not applied at UJ, the system will indicate whether you qualify for any available qualification.
b) If you have previously applied at UJ for the 2023 Academic year the system will indicate your application status for the qualification(s) you have applied for. If you have a positive application status and you are happy with your qualification choice, click on registration information to get all the details regarding registrations (please note that only applicants with an admitted status will be allowed to continue with registration). If you are not happy with your current qualification click on the change qualification button.

Step 6: Qualifications which you qualify for and still have space available will be displayed per Faculty/College. Please select your preferred Faculty/College.

Step 7: A list of available qualifications within the Faculty/College will be displayed. Select the qualification you are interested in.

Step 8: If you are happy with your selection click on submit an enquiry. If you are not happy with your selection click on make a different selection to restart the process.

Step 9: Enter your cell phone number and click on submit.


  • Your enquiry has now been submitted and you will receive feedback within 5 working days (weekends excluded).
  • Transfer (did studies at another University/College) and Entering (did previous studies at UJ) applicants will not be taken into consideration


UJ 2024 Late applications required documents

To apply successfully at UJ for 2024 late applications you need to submit the following documents:

  • Certified and individually scanned documents if completed Grade 12 (see process below).
  • Document upload requirements when applying online (not applicable to applicants currently in grade 12 or internal transfer/Senior applicants):
  • All documents must be certified
  • Ensure that the scanned file is a maximum of 512KB
  • All documents are scanned in any of the following types – tiff, pdf, jpg or gif. 
  • Each document must be scanned and uploaded as separate attachments


UJ 2024 Late applications Closing date:

  • The UJ 2024 late applications will close on the 29 of February 2024. 
  • Incomplete applications will not be allowed.
  • Applications submitted via email will be rejected.
