KZN Nursing College Application Admission Requirements for 2025

Minimum Requirements

For Matriculation Post-2008:

  • Educational Qualification: National Senior Certificate with Diploma Pass and above
  • APS: 25 points
  • Subjects:
    • Home Language/First Additional Language: Level 3
    • English: Level 4
    • Mathematics: Level 3 / Mathematics Literacy Level 5
    • Life Science/Physical Science: Level 4
    • Life Orientation: Level 4 (mandatory but not scored)
    • Any other 2 subjects:

 

For Matriculation Pre-2008:

  • Educational Qualification: Matric/Grade 12 Certificate
  • Scoring System(APS): Maximum of 6 relevant highest score subjects (Grade 12/Std 10) – Minimum 25 points
  • Subjects and Scores:
    • English: Higher Grade or Standard Grade (A-E)
    • Biology/Physics/Chemistry/Physiology: Higher Grade or Standard Grade (A-E)
    • Mathematics: Higher Grade or Standard Grade (A-E)

 

Points(APS) Calculation:

  • NSC Rating to APS Calculation:
    • 80%-100%: 8 points
    • 70%-79%: 7 points
    • 60%-69%: 6 points
    • 50%-59%: 5 points
    • 40%-49%: 4 points
    • 30%-39%: 3 points
    • 0%-29%: 1 point
  • NB: Life Orientation(LO) is mandatory at Level 4 and above; but will not be scored

Application Process for 2025 Academic Admission at KZN Nursing College: A Step-by-Step Guide

To apply for the 2025 academic admission at KZN Nursing College, follow these steps:

1. Click on this link https://kzncn.kznhealth.gov.za/Home.asp to apply for 2025, 

  • on the website click on Apply for 2025.
  • then scroll down and click on Continue, scroll down again a click continue
  • you'll be asked "When Did You Complete Your Matric? Pre 2008 or From 2008" select one
  • after you'll be prompt to ENTER your Matric results, when you are done click on Calculate.
  • then you be asked to enter your ID number, Enter it and click submit
  • wait a moment after clicking on submit, you'll get Your calculated Admission Point Score(APS) and Message letting you know if you quality to apply or not.
  • if you qualify click on Click here to continue.
  • you'll be taken to a application FORM, fill in all the required info. 
  • when you are done click on save

2. Documents to be uploaded with your online application:

  • Copy of matric certificate.
  • Copy of identity document.
  • Proof of residence or affidavit.
