APPLICATIONS FOR 2024 ARE OPEN

DBE Introduces A New Website To Apply For Teacher Assistant Jobs

By Admin

As the number of applications for Phase two of the Basic Education Employment Initiative continues to rise, the Basic Education Department has introduced an alternative method of application for applicants that are yet to submit their applications.

As of 07:30 on 2 October 2021, the Department of Basic Education has confirmed in a recent statement that it received 2 726 117 applications for the Basic Educations Employment Initiative. Of these applications, 475 918 were from young people.

To make the application process more convenient and accessible for all those who wish to apply, the department has since introduced an alternative avenue for applicants.

SA Youth has added another web-based/electronic application that is not linked to or dependent on the SA Youth mobi-site in terms of connectivity or stability. Applicants should visit https://sayouth.me/DBE to access the form.

The link will redirect applicants to the site's homepage where they will be required to select the province that they are located in. They can then fill in the required fields with their personal details and ensure that all the information is correct, particularly the contact number.

Following this applicants should search the school closest to them or click the drop-down menu to select the school. Only schools in the applicant's province will appear on the list. Applicants will then have to double-check all the provided information is correct and click submit.

Applicants are also advised to note that the web-based/electronic application form is an alternative application method that is not zero-rated and as a result will require (3MB) data to complete. The mobile-site (sayouth.mobi) is still available for submission of applications.

Applications for Phase 2 of the BEEI were opened on 25 September and the deadline has since been extended to 10 October 2021 at midnight
